MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATE
LOCATION: WASHINGTON, DC
ABOUT THE JOB:
Do you want to be the point person for all communications in a small but fierce organization? Then this is the job for you! MIX is the leading provider of business information and data services for the microfinance industry and is looking for someone to have a direct impact on our communication efforts.
Specifically, we are looking for someone to:
Draft Announcements, Press Releases, and Report Summaries
Oversee social media (i.e. Twitter and Facebook) campaigns and manage website content
Copy-edit reports and potentially create original articles based on MIX data
Produce MIX email newsletters to be distributed to our entire audience
Lead response efforts to audience inquiries into MIX’s products and services
Contribute to other communication and marketing projects as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
0-2 years relevant work experience
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing or related field
Graduated with a minimum GPA of 3.3
Self-starter with a strong work ethic and innovative ideas
Fast learner who can thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong Microsoft Office skills; working knowledge of HTML a plus
Proficiency in Spanish and/or French plus
SKILLS
Excellent communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent writing and editing skills
