Federal University of Technology,Owerri (FUTO). As one of the foremost universities of technology of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, FUTO was established in November, 1980. Full academic activities started in the university in the 1981/1982 academic session with a total of 225 undergraduates enrolled in the first school of Natural and Applied Sciences. Over the years, the University has grown into a centre of learning encompassing many disciplines including Agriculture and Agricultural Technology, Management Technology, Engineering and Engineering Technology, Sciences (Natural and Applied) as well as Health Technology. There are now well over 20,000 students enrolled in various academic disciplines at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.

Invitation For Post-UTME Screening
All candidates who made the Federal University of Technology, Owerri their first and/or second choice and scored 180 and above in the 2011 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are invited to the entrance screening exercise of the University scheduled to hold from Thursday, August 25 to Saturday, August 27,2011
Method of Application
A. Eligible candidates should pay the sum of One Thousand naira (N1,000.00) only (please, indicate your UTME Reg. number, surname & other names on the Teller) into the Federal University of Technology, Owerri POST UTME's Account in any of the branches of the following Banks:

Allow 24 hours before on-line registration
B. Proceed to complete the registration form with your teller number at: www.sidmach.com/futo (for Engineering candidates) and
www.futo.edu.ng (for other candidates)
i) Read the on-line Examination Procedure before you proceed.
ii) Click on the Post-UTME on-line form and follow the instructions
iii) Input other data as required
iv) Upload your passport photograph (photo size should not be more than 10kb in jpeg or gif format)
v) Preview the completed form and submit when you are sure of your entry
vi) Print the completed on-line registration form
C. Candidates for screening should come with the following:
i) HB pencil, eraser and sharpener
ii) Two clear copies (with clear pictures) of the printout of the completed on-line registration form
iii) UTME result slip and photocopy
iv) Payment slip (teller) used for registration
Note: GSM phones, calculators and other electronic devices are not allowed into the venue
