Functions of Federal Ministry of Education

The objectives of the Federal Ministry of Education include:

• Provide accessible and affordable quality learning opportunities that prepare students with the knowledge and skill needed for success in an interconnected world.
• Increase access to educational opportunities for the uneducated mass who have missed out on formal education.
• Development of better qualified and employable individuals by running programs that provides students with tools for entering the workplace.
• Expansion of learning and the acquisitions of skills beyond the current institutions of learning.
• Ensuring demonstrated capacity for innovation and technology in the institutions for facilitating learning.
• Establishment of a clear relationship between learning and the capacity for higher earning capabilities and wealth creation.
• Ensuring the ability of students to replicate experiences and lessons generated from case studies during the programme.

The Federal Ministry of Education is also known as popular name "FME". FME Nigeria has massively recruitment via the Federal Civil Service Commission, is also known as generally called “FCSC”.

This is to inform the Nigerian citizens that the FCSC in collaboration with the Education has declared vacancies for the following cadres:

Position Title: Education Officers
Grade Levels: 08 – 10

Requirements of Education Officers
Interested candidates must possess a minimum of second class lower division degree in Education, from a recognized University, a degree in a relevant subject + a post-graduate Diploma or Certificate in Education.

The last date for submission of application is July 13th, 2012

How to applyOnly qualified applicants in these specified fields should collect the application form from the offices of the Chairmen of the designated State Civil Service Commissions in the following six geopolitical zones:

North West - Kaduna,

 North East - Yola,

 North Central & Federal Capital Territory - Federal Civil Service Club Mabuchi Abuja,

South West - Ibadan,

South South - Port-Harcourt  and

South East - Owerri

Collection of Forms commences from 1st June, 2012, while submission to the designated State Civil Service Commissions closes by 13th July, 2012.
