TECHNICAL TRAINEES (TECHNICAL COLLEGE LEAVERS)
THE ROLE
The successful candidates will undergo specialized technical trainingprogramme designed for young technical college leavers in our TechnicalTraining School, to acquire the skills and knowledge required to provide outstanding maintenance services for ourautomated brewing and packaging operation facilitates.
The programme covers both theoretical and practical aspects of basic production and industrial operations, machine shop operation and fittings, electrical maintenance and automation.

On successful completion of the programme, successful candidates will be posted our Technical Function to handle technical operations and maintenance in either our brewing or packaging department.

REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Must possess a Federal Craft Certificate, WAEC Technical Certificate or National Certificate from NABTEB with credit passess in the core subjectssuch as English, Mathematics, Physic, Chemistry, Electrical and Mechanical
- Basic experience in the industry will be an added advantage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Good written and spoken English
- Basic knowledge of Computer usage will also be an advantage
- Not more than 25 years as at 1st January, 2012
- Willingness to work in any our locations in Nigeria

REMUNERATION
Remuneration attached to the position is in line with the existing rates in the industry

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the results of 27,266 candidatesa across eight states were withheld for various reasons.
A total of 1,503,931 candidates were registered for the 2012 UTME, which held across the country on March 24, making it the one with the highest number of registered candidates since the existence of JAMB.
Contrary to earlier fears that the Boko Haram sect would disrupt the exam in some Northern states, JAMB Registrar/Chief Executive, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, said the State Security Service and other security agencies had been engaged to deal with any security threat.
The exam proceeded on the set date without any security problem.

Session 2012/13 Admission into the M. Sc. Petroleum Engineering and Project Development

Programme

The M.Sc. Petroleum Engineering and Project Development Programme is an International Collaborative Graduate

programme between IFP School France and the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria and it is sponsored by NNPC and

TOTAL E & P Nigeria Limited Joint Venture. The programme is run under the Institute of Petroleum Studies.

Introduction: The Institute of Petroleum Studies was established in 2003 as a bold effort to remedy the skills gap

between the theory of the classroom and the practical needs of the oil and gas industry in Nigeria. It is a collaborative

graduate school between the Ecole du Petrole et des Moteurs (IFP School), Paris, France, and the University of Port

Harcourt. The institute offers a conducive learning environment, full Internet access and virtual library, hands-on

training using one computer per student. Students use industry software, case studies and undertake numerous field visits.

Students are encouraged to live and work together, thus encouraging the development of team spirit.

The aim of this professional Master’s Degree programme is to provide graduates in engineering with broad based training

required for onshore and offshore oil and gas field development. The students will be taught jointly by lectures from the

University of Port Harcourt (Uniport) Nigeria, IFP School, France as well as experts from the petroleum industry within

and outside Nigeria.

On completion of this Programme, the graduates will among other skills, be able to:

• Evaluate and manage oil and gas fields

• Design and supervise the drilling of exploration and development wells and carry out drilling optimization

programmes

• Design, supervise and evaluate well completion, work over and well simulation programmes

• Design and operate onshore and offshore oil and gas production facilities

• Carry out production optimization and well performance enhancement programmes

• Participate effectively in multidisciplinary oil & gas field review and field development teams

Duration: The duration of the programme shall be 12 calendar months of intensive full time study.

Award of Degree: Successful students at the end of the programme shall receive a Masters’ Degree jointly awarded by

IFP School, France and the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

Professional Certification: Students will be presented with Associate Environment Practitioners (AEP) Certification

(NREP, USA).

Admission Requirements: Candidates must possess a minimum of bachelor’s degree Second Class honours (Upper

Division) in any branch of Engineering and should have completed their NYSC by October 2012. Consideration may be

given to sponsored Company Staff with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience with Second Class Lower Honours

Degree, but with high CGPA.

Application Fee: A non- refundable application fee of fifteen thousand naira (=N= 15, 000) in certified bank draft made

payable to the Institute of Petroleum Studies, University of Port Harcourt. Applicants should either include a pre-paid

FedEx envelop with the draft or collect the form in person. Forms can also be obtained on-line from IPS website and

submitted with the bank draft.

Important dates to remember: (Any change will be communicated by e-mail)

Trainees will learn to operate equipment such as pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, furnaces and other operations equipment. They will also learn to carry out routine plant inspection, completion of log sheets among many other duties.

2.) Maintenance Technician Trainee

Among many other skills, trainees will learn to perform a variety of duties in the maintenance of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment. This will include shop and field work, fabricating, assembling and installation of materials.

Qualification

  • Applicants must possess a Minimum of at least one of the following qualifications:
  • Ordinary National Diploma at Upper Credit Level in Petroleum Processing, Petroleum, Mechanical, Production, Chemical, Instrumentation and Electrical/Electronic Engineering

Program Details

The program is a twelve (12) month intensive training, covering class sessions and practical assignments in the operation and maintenance of equipment used in the processing of crude Oil and Gas to saleable products and will involve continuous assessments and appraisal of trainees during the program.

Enrollment Conditions

All selected trainees will receive a monthly up-keep allowance and they will be accommodated and fed throughout the duration of the program while they are in actual training.

Eni Corporate University invites applications for an academic course that leads to a Master’s Degree in Energy andEnvironmental Managementand Economics – MEDEA. The course is organized and managed by the Scuola Enrico Mattei. The course is reserved for young graduates who are interested in career paths within companies, authorities and other institutions operating in the energy and environmental sectors.

MEDEA consists of a program in Business Administration in Energy Industry that involves three phases of study, with an increasing degree of specialisation. The Academic Year runs from October 2, 2012 through to June 30, 2013. Full-time attendance is required. Those who have successfully completed the programme of study will be awarded a Master’s Degree in Energy and Environmental Management and Economics – MEDEA. Since courses are conducted in Italian and in English, an intensive Italian language course will be held during the summer of 2012.

Admission to the Master programme normally requires:
a good first Degree (upper 2nd level and above) or its equivalent from a recognized University in the area of economics, finance, business administration, management, engineering, mathematics, physics, chemicals, geology, statistics;
