The Role
Successful candidate will be required to:
- Deliver efficient Underwriting, Claims, Reinsurance and survey operations In the Company
- Contribute to the overall strategic positioning of Guinea Insurance Plc
- Contribute to developing and maintaining strong relationship with Brokers, Agents and Clients with a view to fostering goodwill for the Company
- Work In concert with risks Management service providers to ensure prudent and scientific assessment and rating of risks in order to achieve and sustain underwriting profit
- Ensure the adoption of proactive underwriting, claims and reinsurance method and advise management and direct reports alike of latest developments and trends in the market
- Formulate and ensure implementation of the companys technical policies
- Liaise with the other departments In the Company to ensure proper and timely rendering of returns and documents
- Supervise the day to day activities in the department
- Motivate and identify the training needs and manpower development of staff in the department
- Participate in the development of new products to service new and existing clients.
- Contribute to the development of Guineas corporate Marketing Strategy
- Ensure customers satisfaction at all times
The Person
The right candidate must:
- Possess first degree I HND with a minimum of second class lower division in Social Science I Humanities from a reputable institution of higher learning
- Be an Associate Membership of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria I London
- A sound knowledge of General Insurance underwriting; claims administration, reinsurance and survey operations
- Minimum of 10 years post-graduation experience, S of which must be at similar role in a leading insurance company
