In some of the countries in which Baker Hughes works, internship schemes help them to identify potential future talent and give you the chance to gain valuable work experience.
Interns are likely to be in the second or third year of a four-year technical degree, typically in a geosciences, engineering, or engineering-related subject, but this requirement varies according to location.
For example, in China Baker Hughes offers summer internships and longer schemes from two weeks to eight months, for engineering and science disciplines. Many good candidates are converted to permanent employees at the end of the internship.
In other places, including the US, internship roles are offered on an ad hoc basis, for engineering and non-engineering disciplines.
