Head Business Development

Duties and Responsibilities

* Drive the creation of the strategic plan and develop processes to attract companies listed on The Exchange and help achieve our targeted market capitalization
* Responsible for overall Profit and Loss listings and trading efforts across trading lines.
* Provides leadership for the effective implementation, measurement and oversight of business development and ability to maintain current product lines.
* Responsible for the formulation and implementation of new product policies and initiatives.
* Monitor results of function-wide priorities, and highlight/engage on potential corrective actions and dependencies when necessary
* Develop the required Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Business Development division to ensure the delivery of first class services.
* Orchestrate/oversee select practice-level processes across all business areas (e.g. strategic planning, quarterly financial planning, integrated business reviews)
* Actively manage annual and quarterly budget. Partnering with Finance and Council Committees to support critical analyses across the function

Qualifications and Experience:

* A degree in Business or a related field and a postgraduate degree
* 15 years post NYSC experience of which a minimum of 5 years must have been at managerial level

* Detailed knowledge of product development

Head Legal and Regulation

Duties and Responsibilities

* Key role in driving the Transformation programme especially with the process of demutualisation.
* Provide leadership for the effective implementation, measurement and oversight of financial decisions.

Chief Finance Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

* Provides leadership for the effective implementation, measurement and oversight of financial decisions.
* A strategic leader with the ability to formulate and implement finance policies and initiatives.
* Influence people management, change management and team spirit.
* Monitor results of function-wide priorities, and highlight/engage on potential corrective actions and dependencies when necessary.
* Develop the required KPI’s for the Finance division to ensure the delivery of first class services.
* Help drive the transition from the current Nigerian Accounting Standards Board(NASB) standards to the International Financial Reporting Standards(IFRS)
* Putting together a team to track all Exchange revenues and cost performance
* Actively monitor and manage the budget and budget process.

Qualifications and Experience

* A degree in Accounting or a business related field from a reputable university
* A postgraduate degree (MSc or MBA) is an added advantage
* 12 years experience of which a minimum of 5 years must have been at managerial level
* Strong understanding of exchange regulations and portfolio management
* Demonstrated leadership and management ability in a complex organization.

* Must have IFRS knowledge

Head of Technology Services

Duties and Responsibilities


* Drive the formulation of the technology strategy. Lead its execution, working in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders
* Build, retain and motivate a best in class technology team across all the main technology disciplines and oversee associated changes
* Establish technical standards that will ensure a highly accessible and secure technology environment. Ensure adherence to the standards
* Identify and manage strategic supplier relationships to augment internal and strategic capabilities, whilst ensuring a high level of service delivery
* Provide strong leadership skills, ensuring the highest standards of governance, deliverables, risk and stakeholder management
* Provide E2 technology integration from clients to brokers, trading, clearing, settlements and clearing, including risk surveillance
* Ensure that all disaster recovery related technology services are up to date and will support the business in the unlikely event of an invocation. Ensure that these are tested regularly in line with the plan
* Evolve a first class sealable technology infrastructure that enables business objectives

Qualifications and Experience

* A first degree in Computer Science, Engineering discipline, Mathematics or Physics from a reputable university
* A postgraduate degree (MSc or MBA) is an added advantage
* 12 years post NYSC experience in IT of which a minimum of 5 years must have been at managerial level
* Solid technical track record in supporting and implementing technology infrastructures and or applications is essential
* Networking (switching/routing) and Market Data Services experience will be a distinct advantage
* Experience on at least two core technical disciplines (e.g., Networks, Server hardware and Operating Systems, software development, etc.,) at a ‘hands-on’ level is essential
* Experience with managing team of technical experts in a business critical service environment
* Training on ITIL and experience in working in an ITIL based environment will be a distinct advantage
* Experience in financial services within a technology discipline will be a distinct advantage

Internal Audit Head

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Develop a strategic plan, key performance indicators and budget for the department in line with corporate objectives.
* Development of internal control systems, operations manuals and procedures.
* Periodic review of internal control systems and recommend amendments to the council and management.
* Ensure budgets approved by the council are strictly adhered to.
* Periodic review of the management accounts for proper classifications of items of expenses and income.
* Liaising with the external auditors for timely audit of the financial statement and presentation to the stakeholder.
* Evaluate and monitor capital projects approved by the council and report on progress of execution.
* Strong understanding of IFRS

Qualifications and Experience:
* A first degree/ HND in accounting from a reputable Institution
* A postgraduate degree (MSc or MBA) is an added advantage
* 10 years post NYSC experience of which a minimum of 5 years must have been at managerial level
* Must have good knowledge of Auditing and Regulatory framework.
* Possess Good analytical and consultancy skills.

Head Human Resources

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Contribute to the development of corporate strategy and lead in the development and execution of HR strategy
* Establish, control and monitor HRM policies to maximize manpower productivity.
* Direct the establishment of an effective Learning & Development Management System, Performance Management System and Manpower Development and Training and HR Admin/Employee Welfare.
* Define and maintain a competitive and merit based compensation system to support the corporate strategy.
* Direct research into new concepts that could increase HRM operating efficiency.
* Direct oversight functions on succession planning
* Monitor administration of payroll and authorize all data entry into the payroll system.

Chief Risk Officer

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Develop and be responsible for firm-wide Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) including but are not limited to Compliance, Market and Credit Risk framework, and business continuity.
* Provides leadership for the effective implementation, measurement and oversight of enterprise risk management.
* Monitor results of function-wide priorities, and highlight/engage on potential corrective actions and dependencies when necessary
* Develop the required KPI’s for the Risk management division to ensure the delivery of first class services.
* Help create the strategic plan and develop processes to ensure appropriate monitoring and follow-up on key initiatives
* Actively manage annual and quarterly budget. Partnering with Finance and Council Committees to support critical analyses across the function

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Develop and be responsible for the implementation of the corporate communication strategy
* Lead external communications initiatives for key organization milestones to generate local visibility through the media and other channels
* Work with the products team and Webmaster to push through social media channels
* Oversee website content to reflect advancement of the organization and to communicate new initiatives
* Serve as a corporate spokesperson
* Internal and external communication vetting from and about the organization
* Own the content management of the intranet and internet portals

Qualifications and Experience:

* A first degree preferably in Journalism, Communications or a related field
* A postgraduate degree (MSc or MBA) is an added advantage
* 7 years post NYSC experience in public relations
* Strong media experience, relationships with reporters and track record of generating positive visibility through the media and other channels
* Ability to understand financial information and data and to communicate it in simple terms to media and to other lay audiences

Bonds Product Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

* Develop retail market for Bond Trading
* Enhance market micro structure to increase profitability of bond trading (with respect to market quality, transaction fees, best execution etc)
* Work with market participants to increase liquidity in bonds traded on Exchange platform
* Coordinate operator and investor education in fixed income products
* Develop business requirements to drive trading platform development and enhancement.
* Liaise with Market Operations and Technology Division to ensure system compatibility with market structure in quote and order driven markets
* Maintain relationship with Debt Management Office Primary Dealing Market Makers, Exchange registered Broker-Dealers etc in support of order floor effort
* Drive, review and amendment of trading rules as necessary to promote fair and orderly trading

Qualifications and Experience

* A first degree in a business or related field from a reputable university
* A postgraduate degree (MSc or MBA) is an added advantage
* Minimum of 6 years post NYSC experience in bond trading either in an OTC or in an organized exchange
* Product development experience is a plus

Equities Product Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

* Enhance market micro structure (in areas such as transaction fees, market making, sponsored access, securities lending and short selling) to increase profitability of equities
* Work with market participants to increase market liquidity in equities and consider questions such as appropriate length of trading hours, stock circuit breakers, trading lots etc)
* Coordinate operator and investor education in equity based products
* Work with market operators to develop equity based products (Exchange Opening and Closing Actions for business regions and interface with technology)
* Liaise with Market Operations and Technology Division to ensure system compatibility with market structure in quote and order driven markets
* Drive, review and amendment of trading rules as necessary to promote fair and orderly trading
* Maintain relationship with broker-dealers, market makers, Institutional Investors (PFA, Insurance companies, managed funds etc.) and other trading participants.

Qualifications and Experience

* A first degree in Economics or business related areas
* A postgraduate degree (MSc or MBA) is an added advantage
* 6 years post NYSC experience of trading on an exchange floor.
* Product development experience is a plus

Rules and Interpretations Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

* Drafting of new rules and regulations for the Exchange.
* Provides leadership for the effective implementation, measurement and implementation of rules.
* A strategic leader with the ability to formulate and implement legal policies and initiatives.
* Influencing people management, change management and team spirit.
* Writing and putting out notices to members as well as interpreting existing rules and answering frequently asked questions on proposed rules.

Qualifications and Experience

* A law degree from a reputable university
* A postgraduate degree (MSc or MBA) is an added advantage
* 7 years post NYSC legal experience
* Demonstrated leadership and management ability in a complex organization.
* Sound business and legal judgment with problem-solving abilities.
* Must be able to build strong partnerships with business and corporate staff, communicate to a wide variety of audiences in clear, understandable language, and be a skilled facilitator of group action.
* Knowledge of securities and finance markets.

Options Product Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

* Develop the Options Product for the market

Duties and Responsibilities

* Develop and implement overall web presence strategy
* Writes web content, edits content submissions and develops web pages.?
* Maintains the organization’s website to ensure that it remains up-to-date, engaging and useful.?
* Document and respond to both internal and external customer inquiries regarding various ecommerce relevant matters.?
* Works directly with internal and external stakeholders and coordinates web-related initiatives.?

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Develop and present new product analyses, including fact-based supply and demand analyses based on industry trends, competitive intelligence, capacity of the capital markets, and business development channels
* Document the proposed investment process and evaluate its strengths and weaknesses relative to broker-dealer capabilities and competitor strategies
* Determine appropriate delivery and sales channels for products, based on market opportunity, participant interest and investor behavior
