suitably qualified young Nigerians wishing to enroll as students in the
Nestle’ Nigerian Technical Training Programme. We are the leading

differentiation in the market place and increased value for shareholders.We are
seeking to up-skill self-driven, motivated and qualified young
individuals to acquire both theoretical and practical technical skills at
our Technical Training Centre in Agbara.
Job Tittle: Trainee Engineers Location: Lagos The
Programme The programme will last for 18 months. Students will
be thoroughly engaged in rigorous theoretical and practical training at
the training centre and exposed to industrial work experience in the
various plants within the Nestle Nigeria factories. Continuous assessment
and appraisals of trainees will take place during the period.
The Programme will provide practical training in 3 core
disciplines namely:
- Mechanical maintenance activities
- Electrical / Instrumentation / Calibration maintenance activities
- Introduction to Automation maintenance
Learning Facilities The Centre is ideally
located in the middle of engineering activities in our Agbara factory. It
is well equipped with the following facilities: modern classrooms.
standard library, computer and technical drawings rooms, state-of-the-art
electrical / instrumentation / automation and mechanical workshops. The
students are exposed to industrial work experience in the various plants
within the factory. Trainees are continuously assessed and appraised
during the period of training.Overseas Training The best five
students on completion of the programme will be sponsored by Swiss
embassy to do a 3(*%#month internship at a Nestle Factory in
Switzerland. The sponsorship is part of a bilateral Migration Partnership
Agreement between Switzerland and Nigeria.
Entry requirements: Candidates must have obtained
the following qualifications not earlier than 2008:
A. Minimum of lower Credit ( or its
equivalent) in any of the under-listed certificates: i) Ordinary National
Diploma (OND) issued by a Nigeria Polytechnic: or ii) National Technical
Certificate (NTC) or Advanced National Technical Certificate issued by
the National and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) or : ii)
Technicians Certificate or Ordinary Technicians Diploma issued City
and Guilds of London.
These Certificates should have been obtained in any of the
following or related fields of study: i) Mechanical Engineering ii)
Electrical and Electronics Engineering/Electrical Installation on
maintenance practice. iii) Applied Mechanical , Electrical and Elecronics
Engineering. iv) Applied Mechanical and Electrical and Electronics
Engineering. v) Industrial Measurement and Control/Instruments Mechanics
Work. vi) Chemical Engineering. vii Automation Engineering.
B. In addition, candidates are required to have
5 O’ level credits obtained in 1 sitting in the following subjects: –
Physics -Mathematics -Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing or Chemistry. -English
Language. -Any other subject.
