1.  Quality Inspector

Job Title: QUALITY INSPECTOR Job Objective/ Purpose of Job: Quality Inspectors works with fitters during the fabrication process, often approving the quality of raw materials before manufacturing begins. During fabrication, quality inspectors are responsible for in process inspection and sign off till production is completed to ensure code compliance of the products in order to meet clients’ satisfaction, market value and shareholders returns.. Department/Division/ Unit: QC Job Classification Technologist Location: Lagos REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Functionally Reports To: QC Lead Administratively Reports To: QC Manager WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Internal Quality Inspectors External TPA, Client reps Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities: 1. Ensures product compliance to codes and specification - This function is carried out through verification of projects deliverables with client’s project reference code and fabrication specifications. 2. Ensure strict supervision and control of standard work procedures - The procedures prepared are adequate and based on standard work practice and specification which are kept in a safe and proper manner from unauthorized use. 3. Responsible for effective and timely audit CARs/ Projects NCRs close-out.. 4. Ensure implementation of the Inspection & Test Plan ( ITP) prepared, which shows various levels of surveillance and inspection hold points which can only be passed and before further progress of work could proceed. 5. Ensure accurate Quality System Documentation of records in compliance to client’s Manufacturing Data Report Index - Approved client’s Data Manufacturing Data Report Index are reviewed by Quality Manager before client’s approval. 6. Corroborate with Testing Laboratories for Mechanical & Metallurgical Testing of Materials & Welded Test materials, as per Code /Standard/Specification. 7. Participate in carrying out planned audit schedules i.e Internal, Supplier, Client and 3rd party audits - Participate in planning and executing audit schedules to comply with set quality standard and QMS requirements . 8. Reviews MTO ( Material Take Off)prepared by engineering Also, reviews MTC (Material Test Certificates) before materials arrival in order to avert purchasing defective materials. 9. Liaise with various regulatory authority for process certification and renewal of licenses - The job holder is the interface for quality base Company regulatory requirement like Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Agency (NNRA), ASME, HSB – India, ABS-India/Singapore, SGS, Lloyds, DNV, Moody Int, etc. He liaises on issues of process certification, and renewal / re-validation. 10.
