AGBAMI (AMEPS) Scholarship 2012- Undergraduates Medical/ Engineering



AGBAMI MEDICAL AND ENGINEERING PROFESSIONALS SCHOLARSHIP (AMEPS) is a Niger delta  targeted, educationally oriented, scholarship program aimed at supporting the nation’s medical and engineering manpower pool.

How AGBAMI (AMEPS) Scholarship 2012 Works

Application is open to candidates that are currently on Agbami scholarhip and fresh candidates.
To apply follow the steps below:

Register to create an account.
After registering you will automatically login to the page to upload your information.
If you have registered and you have not completed your application click on apply then enter your email and password you used to register.

Enter your personal information, educational information, academic referee , other information and upload required scanned documents.

After filling forms make sure you click the submit application button to apply. You will receive an email and an sms that confirms your application was successful.

The program is open to year 1 and year 2 undergraduates attending recognized Degree Awarding State, Federal and Private Nigerian Universities


ELIGIBLE COURSES:

ELIGIBLE STATES
Eligible for the program are indigenes from all Niger Delta States and Lagos State – (Bayelsa State, Rivers State, Delta State, Ondo State, Imo State, Abia State, Akwa Ibom State, Edo State and Cross River State).


SCHOLARSHIP GRANT CRITERIA
A qualified applicant must have scored 60% or above in the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board examination for Year 1 applicants or 60% or above in their Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) for Year 2 applicants.

Eligible candidates shall be 1st & 2nd year students in Nigerian Universities
An existing beneficiary shall drop out of the program if:

Participant’s CGPA drops lower than 60% of the total score.

Participant fails to participate in the annual verification exercise
There is a change of course to one outside the list of eligible courses
Participant withdraws from school
Participant fails to meet the verification requirements

The NLNG Scholarship Scheme

The Nigeria LNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme started in 1998 as part of Nigeria LNG Limited’s Corporate Social Responsibility to Nigerian Citizens to enhance human capacity development. It involves the payment of a yearly Scholarship allowance to beneficiary Undergraduates in Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria. 

Beneficiaries are selected through a rigorous and transparent selection process organized in collaboration with the Aptitude Test Department of WAEC. From inception, about 2,500 beneficiaries have benefited from the scheme.


Also, the award has undergone several value reviews from N30, 000.00 at inception to N50, 000.00 and then to its present value of N 100,000.00. 

A total of about 500 million naira has been spent so far on the scheme. At present, this scheme is been reviewed and its scope expanded to cater for three levels: post primary, undergraduate and post graduate studies oversea..


NLNG Cadet Scholarship Scheme

The Cadet Scholarship scheme which started in 2006 with eleven (11) beneficiaries is of the specialized category and entails the facilitation of admission and issuance of scholarship for the training of successful candidates from our host communities in the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron. To date, a total of 31 cadets have been on the scheme. 

The scholarship covers all fees for the duration of the programme (2 years) including fees for the mandatory courses.


Each year a total of 100 candidates from our host communities are mobilized to participate in the Maritime Academy entrance examination in various centers across the country. Out of this number, successful candidates are then mobilized for the final stage, which is the interview, and this lasts for a period of one week. 

On average, a total of N30, 000 is spent to mobilize each candidate for the examination.

The scholarships which covers tuition fees and study materials only.

2012/2013 French Embassy Nigeria PostGraduate Scholarships to study in France In March 2010, the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MAEE)and the AIR LIQUIDE Group decided to create a scholarship programme for high-level foreign students to study in France. They are pleased to renew the programme for the academic year 2012-2013.
The ALIS programme, which is cofinanced by AIR LIQUIDE and the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs for the 2012/2013 academic year, is intended for students from Congo, Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria, Russia, Senegal, Tunisia, Turkey or Ukraine who are currently enrolled at university in their home countries. Only candidates with the nationality of these nine countries are eligible for the programme.
For the 2012/2013 academic year, 2 scholarships will be awarded in Nigeria.
The deadline for receiving applications is the 4 May 2012, the results will be published on the 29 June 2012.
The study scolarships cofinanced by AIR LIQUIDE and the MAEE are awarded for one year of studies in France at Master 2 level in the following institutions:
  • Ecole Centrale Paris (2 masters);
  • Ecole Polytechnique (4 masters);
  • University of Paris-Dauphine (2 masters).
From AIR LIQUIDE you will receive:
  • A single flat-rate scholarship of €13,000;
  • The return ticket from and to your home country;
  • Corporate mentoring within AIR LIQUIDE;
  • An end-of-course assignment offer within an AIR LIQUIDE entity in France, with a stipend of about 1 100€ per month;
  • Career guidance support at the end of your stay in France.
From the MAEE and with funding from the French Embassy:
  • Social and medical insurance cover that will give you the status of French government scholarship student and related advantages, including simplified visa applications, free transfer from airport upon arrival, exemption of administrative fee at your higher education institute, access to cultural activities at an attractive price;
  • Intensive French-language courses before leaving for France, provided by the Alliances françaises network in your country of origin.
From the partner schools or the EGIDE Agency (in charge of managing French government international mobility programmes):
  • Support before your departure and during your stay in France, including preparation for arrival in France, personalized welcome, assistance in obtaining a residence permit, looking for and reserving accommodation.

NWAG Scholarships Application Form 2012, Nigerian Women Association of Georgia
The Nigerian Women Association of Georgia (NWAG) plans to award 37 one-time scholarships, one perstate of origin as well as one for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), in the amount of fifty thousand Naira each, to Nigerian female, undergraduate students in Nigerian universities.
Instructions:
Print, complete and submit the NWAG Application Form together with materials and documents specified below under Requirements.

Requirements:

An applicant must be a Nigerian female, undergraduate student in a Nigerian University. All applications must include the following:
  • Proof of State of Origin – Letter of Origination from the university or a letter from your local government office.
  • Two Letters of Recommendation from any two of the following: Church Pastor/Mosque Imam, Village Head, Local Government Chairperson or one of your Lecturers.
  • One Letter of Recommendation from either the Dean of your Faculty/School or your Head of Department.
  • Photocopy of your current university student identification card
  • A current photograph of yourself
  • An explanation of why you need and should receive the scholarship (not more than one-half typed page).
  • A type-written, double –spaced, two-page essay on:
“The education of our youth is compromised by frequent strikes and school closings.If you were the first female president of Nigeria, how would you handle things differently fromPresident Jonathan or all the past presidents?”
All application entries must be typewritten and double-spaced.
All applications must be POST-MARKED or EMAILED by MAY 30, 2012. Late
applications will not be accepted. Applications may not be faxed or hand-delivered.
Note: Incomplete applications or applications that show evidence of plagiarism will be disqualified.
All incomplete applications will be rejected.
