Description
As a Solution Achitect in Core & IMS you will be required to:
Constantly interact with the end customer, in order to understand the operator’s business issues, and to be able to find and enable new opportunities and defend existing Ericsson business.
Proactively drive customer dialogue on long-, medium-, and short-term topics to establish trust, build business partnership , and generate and qualify new leads.
Act as the technical lead for all solutions, with a high level of Customer interaction (Customer Technical and Marketing Teams) and internal co-ordination with account teams and subject matter experts,
Be responsible to secure that the deliveries of solutions to customers, including Solution Description, Solutions Analysis, Dimensioning, High and Low Level Design, documentation, proposals, technical compliance& BoQ during tender/RFP/RFQ phase in line with tender/RFP requirements and provide necessary clarification during the evaluation phase.
In addition, your responsibilities will include the following:
Managing customers requirements and customer expectations from pre-salesthrough to the implementation stages of the project,
Sell competitive products / services solutions through a consultative approach, focusing on customer needs, involving one or a set of products / services for one or many accounts,
Work with customer units to expand new business but also secure / develop existing business,
Enable and support the customer units to sell holistic Communication Services solutions based on the complete Ericsson products and services portfolio,
Ensure end-2-end quality from business development to deliverability – within and across practices,
Capture innovation and re-use,
Know strengths and weaknesses of competitor solutions,
Find new products and solutions and introduce them in the market area with the goal of increasing Ericsson revenue and profitability,
Support customer units in developing in business cases and business models
Build long term customer relationships and position Ericsson as a business partner,
Ensure best practice knowledge management within the practice,
For incoming opportunities, drive discussion to agree engagement model,
Supporting the sales organization as an expert in the solution portfolio, including answering SoC in tenders, developing solution descriptions, writing and reviewing marketing and sales material,
Participate in customer workshops, providing solution and technical expertise and making solution presentations. Contribute to solution cost estimates, perform business intelligence and analysis of market trends, competitors etc,
Take full technical responsibility for the solution analysis, solution design, delivery, specifications & customer interface from a solution perspective.
Your primary focus area is Circuit Switched Core and IMS
Qualifications
You have the following:
Minimum of BE in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum of 4 years Telecom Experience
Strong architecture design and modelling capabilities
Strong track record in engaging with C-level at customers to sell and deliver in the practice area
Ability to command the attention and respect of senior personnel in the customer
Very strong knowledge and experience on Circuit Core systems such as TSS, Enabler, MSC-S, MGW, HLR, STP, Blade Cluster, User Management, Lawful Intercept, IMS Core, IMS Enablers and Interworking Systems as well as the relevant standards
Strong E2E GSM circuit/packet network architecture knowledge including Radio Access technologies
Good knowledge of Radio and Transport Network Design and Dimensioning principles
Good knowledge of microwave and optical transport network technologies and architectures
Good Knowledge of Packet Switching Networks such as SGSN, GGSN, EPC, SASN, SAPC, SACC and Lawful Intercept
Good knowledge of E2E QoS Control & Enforcement, policy control and charging for QoS management
Knowledge about our competitor’s product/services within the area of responsibility
Very good computer literacy
