A new Hospitality Crafts school located in Lagos is in search of suitable persons for the following vacancies:

Principal – The person will be responsible to the Broad of Trustees and ill have duties which includes pioneering work for a new school, budget preparation and control, daily administration of the schools, preparing students for recognized examinations for occupations in hospitality and tourism industry, maintaining staff/student discipline and decorum, representing the school at relevant public forum and developing good rap with employers in the industry.

Qualification: Applicant must have passion for education and development of the new generation for employment opportunities in the hospitality and tourism industry. Previous experience in the management of similar institutions will be an advantage. A minimum of BSC or HND (upper credit) in Hospitality & Tourism Management, with a combination or certificate in education plus 10 years experience in industry will be required. Qualification: BSC or OND in Accounting with minimum of 5years relevant work experience. Applicant should be between 30-35years old

Store Keeper – To be responsible for control of stock of equipment, stationery, dry store, wet store and cold store, keeping records of goods received and issues, and assisting the Administrative Assistant Account in book keeping duties.

Qualification: OND in Business Management or a good WAEC, NECO, or GCE certificate with at least 5 years store keeping experience in good organization…Applicant must be at least 30years old and should be able to produce a surety.

Kitchen Technical Assistant – To assist the lecturers in Food & Beverage Kitchen practical work

Qualification: An experienced industry cook with City and Guilds Practical Cookery certificate or equivalent. Age between 35-45 years.

Duties And Responsilities
The driver/ clerk position in the office fall under direct supervision of the administrative officer/ assistant. He/she will be responsible for up keep and maintenance of the assigned UNHCR vehicle(s) as per technical guidance and specifications established by the organisation. He/She is required to follow strict instructions and security guidance provided by !he supervisor. In addition, the incumbent is also required to perform assigned clerical/ maintenance tasks. The specific functions include:

1. Drive UNHCR vehicles for various official mission, courier services and for other official assignments; as and when transport service is provided to officials passengers (almost always UNHCR/ UN officials or otherwise authorized persons by the Administrative Officer). it is the incumbents responsibility to ensure that the passengers follow the standard security measures during the journey;
2. Provide assistance to the UNHCRJUN staff at the immigration and entry/exit points to the country; it involves providing guidance in customs clearance and assisting in immigration formalities;
3. Be responsible for UNHCR courier/ pouch service and other errands that maybe required within the administration of the office;
4. Ensure that all UNHCR vehicles are road worthy and are maintained up to be established security standards; in case a vehicle(s) is not up to standard, he/she should bring it to the immediate attention of the Office administration;
5. Be responsible for the vehicle log book: it requires that the incumbent record/ register all travel and during assignments as per established record (log) book. Failure to have an up to date and accurate log book is considered as violation of driving code of the office;

Qualifications
• Education and Skills: Completion of the Secondary Education With fluency in the reading, writing and comprehension of the local language(s).
• Valid national driving license with a minimum of 4 years accident free experience in motor car and 4 wheels drive vehicles for an International organisation or a reputed government/ private establishment
• Sound knowledge in motor car maintenance and routine mechanical repairs.
• Practical knowledge of UNHCR, its functions and responsibilities.
• Proven ability to deal with multiple tasks in a courteous and service oriented manner in demanding working conditions.
• Exposure to routine administrative and maintenance functions of UNHCR country

Experience
Four years of progressively responsible Driver! Clerk in International Organisation. Formal training in motor mechanics and vehicle maintenance.

Language
Good knowledge of the local language(s) and the working knowledge in English and/or French.

Basic Function Of The Position:

Incumbent is responsible for the registration of personal and official vehicles. Assists Mission personnel in obtaining Nigeria drivers licenses. Initiates official and personal claims actions against carriers, their agents, airports, and sea ports as appropriate when informed of a discrepancy by the receiving section. 3. Member of Household (MOH) – An individual who accompanies a direct-hire Foreign, Civil,
or uniformed service member permanently assigned or stationed at a U.S. Foreign Service post or
establishment abroad, or at an office of the American Institute in Taiwan. An MOH is:
- Not an EFM; and,
- Not on the travel orders of the sponsoring employee; and,
- Has been officially declared by the sponsoring USG employee to the COM as part of
his/her household.
A MOH is under COM authority and may include a parent, unmarried partner, other relative or
adult child who falls outside the Department’s current legal and statutory definition of family
member. A MOH does not have to be a U.S. Citizen.

4. Not Ordinarily Resident (NOR) – An individual who:
- Is not a citizen of the host country; and,
- Does not ordinarily reside (OR, see below) in the host country; and,
- Is not subject to host country employment and tax laws; and,
- Has a U.S. Social Security Number (SSN).
NOR employees are compensated under a GS or FS salary schedule, not under the LCP.

5. Ordinarily Resident (OR) – A Foreign National or U.S. citizen who:
- Is locally resident; and,
- Has legal, permanent resident status within the host country; and,
- Is subject to host country employment and tax laws.

EFMs without U.S. Social Security Numbers are also OR. All OR employees, including US
citizens, are compensated in accordance with the LCP.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) was formally established on 18 April 1964 with the passage of the Air Force Act 1964 by the Nigerian Parliament. The Act summarised the objectives of the NAF as follows:

The Nigerian Air Force shall be charged with the defence of the Federal Republic by air, and to give effect thereto, the personnel shall be trained in such duties as in the air as well as on the ground.

This goal provided the platform as well as the focus for the evolution and initial development of the NAF, fondly referred to as ‘the pride of the nation’.

General Instructions

1. Nationality: Applicant must be of Nigerian origin.
2. Age: Applicants must be between the ages of 17 and 22 years for non-tradesmen/women, 17 and 24 years for tradesmen/women by 31 December 2011.
3. Marital Status: All applicants must be single.
4. Height: Minimum height is 1.68 meters or 5.5ft for males and 1.65m or 5.4ft for females.
5. Medical Fitness: All applicants must be medically fit and meet the Nigerian Air Force medical and employment standards.
6. Applicants with HND or First Degrees/Post-Graduate Certificates, University Diplomas and Grade II Teacher’s certificates will not be considered for recruitment as airmen/airwomen into the Nigerian Air Force.
7. Applicant’s attestation form must be signed by a military officer from the same state as the applicant and not below the rank of Flight Lieutenant or equivalent in the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Navy, and Police Officer of the rank of Superintendent and above. Local Governments Chairmen/Secretaries, magistrates and principals of government Secondary Schools from applicants’ state of origin can also sign the attestation forms. In addition, applicants are to bring with them a letter of attestation of good character from any of the officers above to the Zonal Recruitment Centres and final selection interview.

3. Lagos: Sam Ethnan Air Force Base, Ikeja – Lagos
4. Enugu: 305 Flying Training School, Enugu
5. Port-Harcourt: 97 Special Operations Group, Nigerian Air Force, Port-Harcourt
6. Calabar: Nigerian Air Force Detachment, Calabar
7. Kaduna: Nigerian Air Force Base, Kawo – Kaduna
8. Kano: 303 Flying Training School, Kano
9. Maiduguri: 204 Wing, Nigerian Air Force Base, Maiduguri
10. Akure: 323 Artillery Regiment, Owena Barracks, Akure
11. Sokoto: 26 Battalion, Gingiya Barracks, Sokoto
12. Yola: 75 Strike Group, Nigerian Air Force, Yola

9. All applicants will be required to submit for scrutiny, the original copies of the documents listed under Paragraph 9(b) at the recruitment centres and during the final selection interview. Applicants will be required to present following documents if selected for the zonal recruitment test:

1. Two recent passport size photographs to be stamped and countersigned by officer of appropriate rank specified in Paragraph 7, Local Government Chairmen/Secretaries and other specified officers in Paragraph 7.

2. Photocopies of:
* (I) Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
* (II) Educational and Trade Certificates

10. Any applicant suspected to have impersonated or submitted false document(s) shall be disqualified from the selection exercise. Also any false declaration detected later may lead to withdrawal from training. Such applicants may be handed over to the Police for prosecution.
11. The Nigerian Air Force will not entertain any enquiries in respect of applicants whose applications have been rejected.
12. The application fee is N1000 only.
13. Educational Qualification.

Non-Trade

1. Applicants must possess a minimum of Pass or D7 grade in Mathematics and English Language. In addition, all applicants must possess a minimum of 3 credit passes at Ordinary level in GCE, SSCE or NECO in the following subjects:

Physics Government
Chemistry Economics
Biology Commerce
Geography Technical Drawing
History Food and Nutrition
Literature in English Home Economics
Accounting Christian Religious Studies
Business Management Islamic Religious Studies
Statistics

Applicants must satisfy the requirements stated for Non-Trade above. In addition, applicants applying as tradesmen/tradeswomen must possess ND or other relevant trade qualification from government-approved institutions.
