Qualifications For The Vacant Academic Positions
PROFESSOR (CONUASS 07: N2, 485,099.00 – N3, 209,140.00)
Candidates for the position of Professor must demonstrate clear evidence d scholarship through considerable academic publications in the specialty; and as well have at least ten (10) years Post Doctoral Fellowship (National! Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, West Africa Postgraduate College and other equivalent scholarship qualifications as applicable to the area of specialization)
Qualification experience in Teaming/Research In a university.
Candidate should have demonstrable capability to participate in Inter/multi disciplinary research ability to provide academic leadership, in addition to reasonable administrative experience.
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (CONUASS 06: N2, 053,124.00 – N2, 684,096.00)
Candidates for the position of Associate Professor must demonstrate clear evidence of scholarship through considerable academic publications in the specialty; and as well have at least eight (8) years Post Doctoral qualification experience in Teaching/Research in a University.
Candidates should have demonstrable capacity to participate in inter/multi disciplinary research ability to provide academic leadership in addition to reasonable administrative experience.
SENIOR LECTURER (CONUASS 05: N1, 653,415.00 – N2, 348,299.00)
A good Honours Degree in the area of specialty with a Higher Degree such as a Doctorate or where applicable holders of MBSS Degree with Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, West African Postgraduate Medical College or equivalent qualification
Must have at least three (3) years of teaching experience as lecturer I where applicable or Ph.D with Six (6) years post doctoral qualification experience in teaching/research in the university;
Must have demonstrated research capability through scholarly publications in reputable journals AND
Must possess reasonable administrative experience and demonstrate ability to provide academic leadership.
LECTURER I (CONUASS 04: N1, 122,751.00 – N1, 164,981.00)
A good Honours Degree in the area of specialty with a Higher Degree such as a Doctorate Degree, or where applicable, holders of MBBS with a Masters Degree or Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, West African Postgraduate Medical College or equivalent qualification where applicable
Must have at least three (3) years of teaching experience as lecturer II where applicable or Ph.D with three (3) years post doctoral qualification experience in teaching/researci1 in the University AND
Must have reasonable scholarly publications.
Duties of the academic staff will include Teaching, Research, Supervision of Junior Colleagues and Clinic assignments where applicable,

ASSISTANT CHIEF TECHNOLOGIST (CONUNASS 12: N1, 075,353.00 – N1,508,373.00)
Candidates must possess ANIST/AIST or Full Technological Diploma or City and Guilds in relevant fields or membership of recognized professional bodies i.e. NIST. National Diploma of the Institute of Medical Laboratory with Fifteen (15) years of post qualification experience OR B.Sc./HND Degree in Medical Laboratory Science with certificate of registration of the Medical Laboratory Council of Nigeria for Health Technologist with Thirteen (13) years post qualification experience.
LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST II (CONUNASS 07: N579, 391.00 -N.857, 305.00)
Candidates must possess ANIST/AIST or Full Technological Diploma or City and Guilds In relevant fields or membership of recognized professional bodies i.e. NIST. National Diploma of Institute of Medical laboratory with three (3) years post qualification experience OR B.Sc./HND Degree in Medical Laboratory Science with Certificate of Registration of Medical Laboratory Council of Nigeria for Health Technologist with one (1) year post qualification experience.
HIGHER TECHNICIAN (CONUNASS 07: N579, 391.00 – N857, 305.00)
Candidates must possess WASC/GCE/SSCE with Health Technology Certificate. Candidate must have obtained the Registration of the relevant institute of laboratory Technology for Technicians with Six (6) years relevant experience.
Conditions of Service For Academic And Non-Academic Appointments
The appointments which will be on permanent basis would commence as soon as possible. Appointees would be on probation for the first two (2) years and would be considered for confirmation to retiring age thereafter, subject to satisfactory performance.
Fringe benefits and other allowances are comparable to what obtains in existing Colleges of Medicine in the Country. Other conditions of service are as stated in the Senior Staff Conditions of Service of Lagos State University.
